Lyrics Analysis
The rock 'N' roll song that I picked analyze and its lyrics is, "Hit the road Jack", by Ray Charles. What the lyrics mean is that a girl treated a man badly and he cant take it anymore. Then he says I have to pack my things and go and the girls say that's right and don't come back no more no more. Then he talks about how he will get back on his feet someday and doesn't need her. Then in the end he like is trying to get her to take him back but she doesn't want him anymore and says " don't you come back no more." I love this song my mom sang it to me as a joke when I was little before I went to school all the way up to middle school. The songs means to me completely different to me now then what it did when I was little. When I was little I just thought it was a song that was joking to someone that to hit the road and never come back. Now, after analyzing the song I understand what it means how she treated him bad he leaves then he wants her back but she doesn't want him back and then he for reals hits the road and never comes back.

When you write, shorter and simplier is better. For example, here's how I'd write your opening sentence:
ReplyDeleteI chose to analyze the lyrics of "Hit the Road Jack," by Ray Charles. See how much easier that is to read and understand?
I'd also like to see a couple of paragraph breaks in this essay, and perhaps a little information about the songwriter, Percy Mayfield.
I like the story about your Mom singing this song to you. It's funny how our understanding changes over time.
